Submit Your Story

We’re looking for stories, moments and memories that make you feel connected to your family, friends and community in the Chinese diaspora. They can be mundane or special, a fleeting moment that happened yesterday or an indelible moment from childhood. A recipe, a photo, a piece of clothing.  These memories shape our understanding of who we are – caught in the in-between-ness of identifying as Chinese outside of China.

Share photos, audio, and video to help tell your story. You’ll need to submit them through Dropbox, send them our way! Scroll down to the bottom for upload instructions.

Submissions may be edited for clarity and length and are posted by our discretion. By submitting a story, you give us permission to post the content publicly on this web site, social media, other formats and public venues with attribution. You own your content, if you’d like us to take it down in the future just contact us.

Share your media.

We’d love to include your photos, video and audio that you capture with your submission. (We put together some tips to get the best results when recording.)

Use the link below to upload them to Dropbox. A new window will open and Dropbox will prompt you that “Tracie Lee” wants you to upload files to the “Ching Ming Uploads” folder. You can choose them from your computer or an existing Dropbox account. Please be sure to use the same name that you used for your story submission.
